Via WRTV-6:
After a clerk was pistolwhipped and robbed at a Village Pantry today:

“These individuals are violent felons, they don’t care. They’re going to do whatever they have to do to get money,” said IMPD Lt. Jeff Duhamell.
Metro police said armed robberies are becoming more prevalent and more violent. Just two weeks ago, robbers shot and killed a clerk at a different Village Pantry .
“It can get really dangerous, really quick. In this case, thankfully, they didn’t shoot her. But they took the gun to her head, which is bad enough,” Duhamell said.
But I thought violent crime was supposed to be down in Indy?
