Gary Welsh at Advance Indiana posted something not seen in local, commerical media news, as far as I can tell.
State Rep. Jeff Espich (R) District 82 has voiced concern about the CIB and IU Natatorium in a press release.
Gary’s report is Espich: We’ve been had by the CIB
Building fancy sports structures that seem to fall into disrepair seems to be a pattern around Indy. Why? Big projects, sold to us as financially beneficial, end up costing taxpayers because maintenance costs are either not included in the cost (i.e., Lucas Oil Stadium) or apparently just ignored (as with the Nat’).
It’s bad enough they tap us for millions to build stuff. But then they don’t take care of it and let it fall apart (another example of this pattern: Pan Am Plaza).
It’s disgusting.
Indy Tax Dollars also has a nice write up on the matter.

Interesting tidbit on Crimewatch, Carl Brizzi’s weekend show on 93.1 FM. He said the homicide count is 95, exact same as your number.
