Disappearing bike lanes

The folks who oppose Indy’s bike lanes are probably going to be happy to see this. The rest of us, not so much. After only a couple of minor snowfalls, the bike lanes have begun to vanish. Is this poor installation, faulty materials, or are the plows being overly agressive? You decide:

    It looks like to me you’re driving on Madison Avenue. Those bike “lanes” have always been like that there. In major parts of that road, the emblem is just on the right side of the traffic lane with no bike lane marked off. .

    Nope. They were fully striped back in November. The first time it snowed this month, they removed some of the striping. The second time, even more came off.

    I drove Madison Avenue after the election in November and didn’t see striping then. Must have added them later.

    It was about the time the bicyclist was run over by a dump truck and killed while crossing the street. I remember because of that event.
