What else can you call it? A large group gathers at midnight for some sort of arranged fight. It quickly escalates to an OK Corral gunfight. Victims run off in all directions, one gets hit by a car and another one dies after being driven to an apartment complex several miles away.
Maybe Congress should have instead passed an Affordable Burial Act. Indianapolis residents might find that more useful.

Once again a bunch of stupid kids, it used to be knives now it’s guns. has anyone told these idiots when you kill someone they aren’t coming back.
I think not. Maybe it’s a matter of having so little expectation for their future they don’t care if they even will have one.
Everytime I see the sobbing, remorseful group planting a cross on a street corner I wonder why they never thought of that moment before someone died.
Bart – do you have an idea about the percent of Indy homicides that are solved ? By “solved” I mean that a likely perp has been arrested and is awaiting trial, or has been convicted.
Keep up the good work.
No idea at all. Generally IMPD has a good record. I think they do around 80% or better but that’s strictly from memory of something I read several years ago.
