Two dead, police are mum

Indy homicides are evidently being downplayed as the year winds down. Throughout the year the reporting of violent deaths has been minimal, with little more than a casual mention in the news. The victims names are often not even given.

Lately, the habit seems to be to release a short statement about a death that is being investigated. Such was the case on Thanksgiving, when two mysterious deaths were noted, police made no (public) determination of circumstances, and yet ask people to call Crime Stoppers if they have information:

2221 Radcliff Ave – man dead in home
6231 W Washington St – man dead at motel

Could it be because the number of homicides in Indy is trending towards a 5 year peak?

Thanks. Another name to fill in the blanks. Still an awful lot of unidentifieds this year. And no word on whether either of the suspicious deaths we listed have been classified as homicides.

Please change the title of your “blog” to BALLARD LIES! Sheesh. Leave the politics out of it, young people are being directed wrong these days and seem to be the most violent in recent history, the color matters not, the culture of wanting to be “hard” is something that can’t be stopped. You guys wanted a mayor that would not do too much, instead of Bart who did a lot, so here you have a guy who has really done absolutely nothing.

Well, Ballard has indeed turned out to be a carbon copy of Peterson, same cadre of political contributors and hangers-on steering juicy contracts to campaign contributors, same pandering to the pro sports billionaires. In other words status quo, nothing changed, same-old same-old.
